About Project
Challenges
The DMRC DC09 IGNOU underground metro tunnel in New Delhi, spanning 6.51 km, faced challenges of water ingress and seepage at tunnel and station joints under high groundwater conditions. Maintaining long-term tunnel integrity, ensuring leak-proof construction, and supporting the safe operation of the Golden Line required a flexible solution capable of addressing both immediate and future joint sealing needs.
Our Solutions
Re-injectable Grouting Tubes provided a reliable and adaptable solution for sealing joints, controlling seepage, and maintaining water-tight conditions throughout the tunnel and IGNOU station. The system allowed for post-construction grouting, ensuring continued performance under variable hydrostatic pressures. This enabled Larsen & Toubro to deliver a durable, safe, and low-maintenance underground metro tunnel for DMRC, supporting operational reliability and structural integrity along the 6.51 km stretch.
