Weak subgrade soils, heavy load transfer from rail and vehicular traffic, and potential vibration-induced damage to the bridge structure. Additionally, construction required effective drainage management and long-term durability in areas prone to waterlogging, while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing rail operations.
The use of Geo composite along with Geogrid and EPDM pads provided an integrated solution by reinforcing the subgrade, improving load distribution, and absorbing vibrations from both rail and road traffic. The geocomposite ensured proper drainage, the geogrid enhanced soil stability, and EPDM pads minimized structural stress and wear.
