Maruti Polyethylene Backer Rod is a round, flexible foam material used as a joint backing and bond breaker in construction joints prior to the application of sealants. It is widely used in civil engineering, building construction, and infrastructure projects to ensure proper sealant performance and durability.

Manufactured from closed-cell polyethylene foam, the backer rod is designed to control sealant depth, improve joint performance, and support sealants during application and curing. By acting as a compressible filler material inside expansion joints and cracks, the backer rod helps maintain the correct joint geometry and ensures optimal sealant adhesion.

The product also prevents three-sided adhesion, which is a common cause of premature sealant failure. By allowing sealants to adhere only to the two opposing sides of the joint, the backer rod ensures that the sealant can expand and contract freely with structural movement, thereby improving the longevity and flexibility of the joint system.
