About the Project
The Badakustali Base Camp infrastructure works in Odisha required specialized reinforcement and elastomeric materials for civil construction applications.
Maruti Rub-Plast Pvt. Ltd. received a purchase order from M S Infraengineers Pvt. Ltd. dated 16 September 2026 for the supply of high-strength geostrips and EPDM pads.
The documented requirements included four geostrip strength categories—30 kN, 40 kN, 50 kN and 85 kN—along with 150 × 150 × 70 mm EPDM pads.
Challenges
Infrastructure construction requires materials capable of resisting mechanical stresses, accommodating design-specific structural loads, and maintaining reliable performance under variable environmental conditions.
Reinforced earth structures require geosynthetic components with suitable tensile capacities, while elastomeric pads must provide specified compression and deformation characteristics.
The project also involved multiple product grades and quantities, demanding careful material identification, documentation, and delivery coordination.
Solutions
Maruti Rub-Plast's geostrip range was specified across four strength categories, providing flexibility for different reinforcement requirements.
The geostrips are intended to help transfer tensile forces within engineered soil systems, improving reinforcement capability when installed according to approved designs.
The EPDM pads provide elastomeric support suited to applications requiring resilience, cushioning, and controlled deformation within their design limits.
The purchase order records a combined requirement of 38,500 running metres of geostrips and 350 EPDM pads, demonstrating the breadth of specialized products specified for the project.
